Well as we get ready to say our final goodbye's to iour " Queen of Soul " Aretha Franklin, it is a heavy heart that I celebrate the home-going of a women who personified so much of the Black experience in my lifetime. She sung with the voice that only God can anoint, she sang of the trial and tribulations that we as 'Black people " were experiencing at that time. She sang songs of melodies from the heart and soul, that unless you were there it would be hard to relate too. She sang about Love in it's splendor and in it's pain. She sang about the realities of our times and gave us a vehicle for dealing with these realities through soulful thought provoking considerations. She personified the meaning of Civil right with her song R-E-S-P-E-C-T, it is what governs our social behaviors, when we treat each other with respect in public as well as private. a life lesson that must must never forget. An so my " Queen" we will never forget you, a Lady, Women, Mother who like so many of us has had to deal with our pain in the solitude. speaking on behave of the Walker, Hardy, Harris, Dodson families and many others fans around the Globe, it is with Honor, Dignity, Respect and Love that I pray God in the name of Jesus receive back to your loving bosom you daughter and this gift you allowed us to enjoy..May you rest in Jesus Peace and now you can sing Amazing Grace all around Heaven......Forever, To the Glory of the Father. Amen. I Love U, Goodnight sweet " Queen "
